Social responsibility
The ONOMO group is committed to:
• protect the environment and communities in the places of activity of the ONOMO group;
• comply with applicable national and international legal requirements;
• work in compliance with Good International Industrial Practices (BPII);
• respect the fundamental conventions of the International Labor Organization (ILO);
• continue to improve the ONOMO Group’s E&S management and performance;
• work to have a positive impact on local communities;
• when it relies on a contractor to carry out works, the ONOMO group strives to ensure that the policies of the contractors, in particular during the construction phase of the project, comply with the E&S policies of the ONOMO group; that the contractors employed by the ONOMO group work in compliance with national and international regulations and legislation, the fundamental conventions of the ILO and the BPII; and when discrepancies are identified, working with contractors to correct them;
• Obtain EDGE certification for selected hotels (IFC’s EDGE certification is a certification program for construction projects that requires them to achieve a 20% improvement over an average performance benchmark. EDGE certification for IFC considers energy, water and material use (related to thermal insulation) and requires a 20% improvement on all criteria (i.e. credits cannot be exchanged between categories)). For the construction of all our new hotels, we rely on the latest technologies and energy efficiency systems.
